The foundations for MOP's debut on Random Collective began with field recordings of various flora and fauna in and around the Mindo jungle of Ecuador. As nature does, MOP sought to find a balance in the elements of the EP so he enlisted Huaira to provide voice over the electronic base. To further balance the release, fellow Ecuadorean producer and long-time Random Collective collaborator Santi D. put his signature analog swing on the title track, while the Mexican Rey of slow grooves DVNIEL delivered a hypnotic head-bobbing remix of Monjes de Fuego.
